Lasseiz Les Bon Temps Roulez!!
A new year, a new venue - but the same fun and frivolity held court at Johnny D's Uptown last Friday night for the 16th annual Mardi Gras party, hosted by the venerable Mickey Bliss. Once again, the Slacks were called upon to wrap up the night with some funky, sweaty music to please the revelers who came in droves to hear not only the Slacks, but the Second Line Social Order Preservation and Pleasure Society Brass Band (I think that's right), Preacher Jack, and the Confederacy of Dumpsters as well. We had a great time, again!!! Thanks to all who attended, and to those who didn't...well...there's always next year!

Intergalatic Funk
Okay...So, I'm a Star Wars fan, right?
We're playin' our second set last Thursday @ the Cantab. And, we're all movin' & groovin'; shakin' and bakin'. And, whom do I see in front of me? None other than Padme, Queen Amadala herself, Natalie Portman, bustin' that thang on the floor. In front of me!
I'm glad you could join us!
Hope to see you again next time you're in town. We'll have a Pabst waitin' for ya at the bar!

Have Birthday, Will Party
It had been awhile since I've been back to Roslindale. Village Sushi. Mid-Nov. '07. A bottle of warm, house sake. Sushi and a Dragon Roll. Then, a bowlin' party @ The Milky Way. Ahhh, yes. That was awesome.
So, my return didn't cease to delivery another great time!
This time it was a Birthday Bash!!!
So, again, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Jefferey!
Everything was amazing! The food. Sweet, savory, and overall yummy-licious.
The atmosphere at the Sons of Italy in the heart of Roslindale Square was more than playful! Everyone runnin' around havin' a great time. I'm glad the Chicken Slacks could be a part of that night!
We all had a great time. Thanks, Jeff.
And, a Special Thanks to Jackie, Lizzy, Julia, Sue, and Nat for your help!
